TITLE: Video Games on the Brain - An Online Exhibition MEDIUM: Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, Childhood Drawings

For my Interdisciplinary Art class at UGA, we were given an assignment to curate a gallery of artwork that was not in the conventional space of a white-walled museum gallery. Being the hard core gamer that I am today, I recalled many of my past exploits with how I originally became a hardcore gamer and re-discovered many of my childhood drawings that had a story to be told about how they were originally conceived. While I may not have yet acheived a personal goal to become a designer of video games, I at least dreamt about the possibilites of being a game designer when I was very young of age. The style of the presentation is setup so that the narrator of the background story about Thomas, err, myself is revealed part-by-part from the attitude as though I were a patient of a video game rehabilitation center, one of which they could not present a cure for. I later showed this presentation to my mother who was a large part of my childhood experiences in growing up with video games and she was very pleased to recount these past events.

Also featured is a collection of just about everything I could find regarding old video game-related artworks from my childhood, including a personal video game bible so to speak. Please check out the project website if you are at all curious to know more. But be forewarned in that it may provide humourous insight about my personal pychology. : )
