TITLE: Draw Yourself as a Movie Character - Serenity MEDIUM: Graphite, Oil Pastel I tried drawing myself as Captain Malcom Reynolds from the television show Firefly and the movie Serenity which is more or less a Sci-Fi/Western. I tried exploring the idea of coloring certain parts of the image with neutral tones and colors that you might find in a wheat field or a hazy sky, and basically tried making the image look dirty as the show/movie is about the shady underdealings of a ship and crew that are not law abiding individuals. I left certain things in graphite pencil only while the color is all in oil pastel. To be quite honest, I'm not all that happy how it turned out, but I don't think it's necessarily bad work. Perhaps I can improve on coloring it one of these days in a program such as photoshop.
