TITLE: Durian Abstraction Sculpture MEDIUM: Wood, Acrylic Paints, Adhesive For a 3-D Design class I created a abstract sculpture that was based on a very unique fruit called a "Durian", also known as the King of Fruits. The fruit itself is completely covered in spikey thorns and can be split open into four parts. Inside are smaller seeds shaped similar to the outside texture. I cut out each piece with a jigsaw, sanded them, painted them in gradient colors and contructed it into a freestanding sculpture.
