| This UGA class project initially started off as a series of photographs (Around 5 or 6) that by using a feature in Photoshop called "Photomerge" could be more or less comibines into a nice start for making a panorama. Luckily for me, a friend of mine from school offered to help take the photographs with a really nice camera and with some admirable photography experience from shooting weddings professionally and the like. To be honest, I didn't need to do too much to this one other than warp the horizon line, correct a few perspectives here and there, dim or brighten some of the washed out lights, add a few buildings to the edge and add a color and levels adjustment. Overall I was extremely happy with the final result and it would be great to eventually put this as a framed cityscape photograph in an office someday. For those that may not know, the logo and one of the oldest landmarks of Athens, GA is "The Arch" which from my knowledge has been there from the very beginning of the college. In this same regard, the "A" in Athens has been turned into a very similar design to the UGA logo. |
