TITLE: Athens City Hall: Day Into Night MEDIUM: Adobe Photoshop, Digital Photography
This was a digitial photo imaging project for a class I had at the University of Georgia. The goal was to take some images of a landscape during the day and convert the image into a night scene. It took awhile to edit out a lot of the content that existed in the original composite such as the various poles, a neon green bulldog statue, a ton of parked cars and many other image adjustments while adding various contents such as a tree, different positions for the street lamp posts, hydrant, statues, as well as a new background sky. Overall it was a great excercise in editing and learning how to work with the rubber stamp tool to create areas in the image that simply didn't exist in the original and learning how to work with various level adjustments, color balance, lights and all the other intricities of turning day into night. I've got to hand it to my graphic design professor in that he surely picked a project to teach a student more than he/she could ever bargain for!
