Interesting idea... maybe you could replace the missile sprite with a sort of faint "puff" or "swoosh" instead of just blankness to indicate fast-moving air? Just so we can actually see where we're shooting and stuff?

I might do that...
I personally find the jettrack of the shot is fine for my aiming purposes.
But, I may add a little something to make it work...
Something like this:

Alright, rather than post an impossible screenshot (I keep making it look like a little arrow or something...), I'll let you try the Invisimissiles on an early demo.
Follow the links~
Warning: site is a little underfurbished...

Set it on "Throne Room Style." It looks really cool, actually.

Time for the first snaggle:
-_-
Alright, you know in the Ironhead fight, if you take no damage, you get the alien medal?
Well, I'm stumped.
I've narrowed it down to either:
A certain flag: flag 836
Or
Some TSC command I can't seem to find...
Grrr...
EDIT: Was looking at the old TSC sheet.
Oops.
lol

So progress has pretty much stalled due to:
A: Swamped with class work.
B: Massive illness bout.
C: Lazyness.
D: All of the above.

Incorrect.
The real answer is E and F: Total Annihilation and Virus issues.
On a random note...
Has anyone tried Spring?
